How do I search?

Overview

Use the search bar to quickly find content on your site.

You can search using keywords, tags, exact phrases, and search operators to narrow your results.

Use the search bar

Click the search bar to start searching.

As you type, Stack Internal displays matching post titles. Press Enter to view the full search results.

Search by keyword

Enter one or more keywords in the search bar and press Enter.

Search by tag

If you know which topic you're looking for, search using one or more tags.

• To search within specific tag(s), enter them in square brackets. For example, [maintenance] seat searches for mentions of "seat" within content tagged with the maintenance tag.
• When you search with multiple tags, Stack Internal uses the AND operator by default and returns questions and Articles that have all of the specified tags.
• Use OR to return questions and Articles that have either tag.

Search for an exact phrase

Use quotation marks to search for an exact phrase.

For example, searching for "seat maintenance" returns results that contain that exact phrase.

Use search operators

Search operators help you narrow your results.

Common search operators include:

• title: searches within post titles.
• body: searches within post content.
• user:me searches for content you've created.
• - excludes words or tags from your search.
