Use this guide to understand why questions are deleted, how to delete your own question, and what happens after deletion.
Why questions are deleted
Questions may be deleted if they:
- Don't meet your site's guidelines.
- Don't provide lasting value to other contributors.
- Remain low quality after being closed.

Delete your own question
You can delete your own question if it:
- Has no answers.
- Has only one answer and that answer has no upvotes.
To delete your question, select Manage, then Delete.
Deleted questions
When you delete a question:
- The post no longer appears to other contributors.
- You can still view the question.
- You can undelete the question.
Undelete a question
If you deleted your own question, select Manage, then Undelete.
